Safety Tips

Archery can be a safe, enjoyable activity for all ages if you always follow these simple safety practices:
1. Make sure target area and shooting lane are clear before releasing arrow
2. Do not run to target immediately after your shot
3. If you draw then decide not to shoot, slowly return your bowstring back to the undrawn position
4. Do not shoot straight up or in any direction that could endanger people or objects
5. Never point a drawn bow at others
6. Never “dry fire” your bow – drawing and releasing your bowstring without an arrow can harm you and your bow
7. Do not draw the bow beyond its maximum draw length
8. Do not expose your bow to extreme heat or damp conditions
