Which Genesis bow is allowed in the Centershot Ministries Program?
The Genesis Original & Mini are the only bows allowed in the Centershot program.

What is your warranty policy?
One (1) year warranty to the original owner. Note that any and all warranties are voided if any alterations are made to the bow, including cosmetic refinishing. For full details, see the Genesis Warranty or the Genesis Owner’s Manual.

What is my bow’s draw weight?
The draw weight is determined by the bow model.
The Genesis Mini is adjustable from 6-12 pounds.
The Genesis Original adjustable from 10-20 pounds.
The Genesis Pro is adjustable from 15-25 pounds.

The Genesis family bows are unique in that there is not a specific draw length. The Genesis family of bows is the Original Universal draw length bow.

Not sure how to set the draw weight – see below?

How do I reduce the draw weight on my Genesis bow?
Using the provided 3/16″ Allen wrench, turn the limb bolts counter clockwise (top and bottom) equal turns. 1 turn counterclockwise equals approximately 1.4 pounds in reduced bow draw weight.

Where should my nock locator be positioned on my string?
The nock locator should be positioned wherever needed for optimal results.
Not all archers prefer their nock in the same location; however, a typical starting location is 3/8″ above zero. Zero is the bottom of the arrow shaft when the arrow is nocked perfectly perpendicular to the string. The bottom of the nock locator should be 3/8″ above the bottom of your arrow shaft. This would be the same location if the bottom of your nock locator were set 1/8″ above the top of the arrow nock.

The factory nock on your Genesis bow is intended to be temporary and can be replaced with a tie-on nock if you so choose. You can adjust the location of your temporary nock point by applying warm air, such as that from a hair dryer, and sliding it to the desired position. The nock will shrink and tighten as it cools.

How do I replace my arrow rest?
Genesis Original Bow:
The Genesis Original has a “push in” style arrow rest. Start by taking the 3/16″ Allen wrench that comes with the bow. Place the bow sight window down on a hard surface, push the Allen wrench into the plastic stem that holds the rest in place, install new rest, it’s just that easy.

Genesis Mini Bow:
The Mini comes from the factory with a specially designed threaded stem & nut to hold the rest in place. On the Sight window, pull the factory rest off of the stem & replace.

Genesis Pro Bow:
The Genesis Pro does not come with an arrow rest. Since the Pro has more features and can be easily customized for draw length, we do not include a standard rest on this model bow.

What accessories can I install on my Genesis bow?
All Genesis bows are Archery Trade Association Standard (sight #10-24 and rest #5/16-24). There are a wide variety of accessories that will work on your Genesis bow, however some may not. We suggest that you consult your local Genesis retailer.

The Genesis Original was designed to be shot with fingers (a shoot around style arrow rest). We do not recommend that you install a shoot through rest or use a release aide with an Genesis Original as that is not how the bow was designed to be used.

Which Genesis bow is right for me?
That depends on the size and stature of the archer. Please consult with your local Genesis retailer. Click here to find a retailer near you.

How do I know if I need a right hand or left hand bow?
It depends on your eye dominance. To determine the dominant eye do the following: Have the archer stand 7-10 feet from you. Have them hold both arms straight out & create a small triangle with their hands. Have the archer look at you with both eyes open. The dominant eye will be the eye that you will see through the small triangle in the archer’s hands. (Make sure they keep both eyes open for this test.)
